Herman has 30 years experience in global financial services as banker, consultant and investor. He has held variety of international leadership roles to build and manage businesses as well as leading large client accounts.
Biography
Herman was previously senior partner at Bain & Company in their financial services practice. Whilst at Bain was the client head for RBS for seven years where he led the strategy work to refocus it on the needs of its predominantly UK clients, with strong franchises in banking for personal and SME customers.
Before Bain, he was Managing Partner at Marakon Associates, the value based strategy consultancy, where he led the UK practice and grew it internationally to serve clients in Europe and South East Asia. He started his career at HSBC as an ‘international manager’ and worked in Asia, Middle East and Vanuatu.
